Sheep returning to our Shepherd

1 Peter 2:25 "for you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of our souls.

We have all gone astray from God at some point in our lives. Some people run from God for years while others might only stray for a few days. Either way God is waiting for us to return!
He desires for all His sheep to have closeness with Him. He is the overseer of our souls! That is profound. Jesus is at the right hand of the Father praying for us. We can draw nearer to Him today than yesterday and know Him more intimately. Take time today to return to your good Shepherd. Rejoice in your salvation and delight yourself in the true and living God!

The Savior is Born!!!!

"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14

It's Christmas time again. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ entered into this world as a baby. God took on flesh and humbly came here to save us. There are so many things that we participate in during the Christmas season. Let's not forget Jesus in the midst of all the activities. Instead, we can make Him the center of our activities and rejoice in His birth!! Use Christmas as an opportunity to share with others about Jesus.

Merry Christmas and God bless!!!

God is at work in our lives

Hebrews 12:14-15 Pursue peace with all people and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord! Looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this may become defiled;

Hebrews 12:27-29 Now this, "yet once more, indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken remain.
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.

What is God trying to shake and remove from our lives? We can allow the Lord to root out those things that are not pleasing to Him and be at peace with Him and others. We need His holiness to be able to see Him! After the Lord has shaken us, the things pleasing Him remain.

Seeking peace and holiness with all people will keep us from bitterness. As we work out our salvation with fear and trembling, let us love one another with the love of God. We have been called to edify each other and build each other up. Ladies, let's pray for one another, lift up the weak person's feeble hands, and encourage those around us.

Have You Left Your First Love?

Revelation 2:4-5: "Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly, and remove your lamp stand from its place-unless you repent.

The Lord is calling us to repentance. Our first love should be the Lord our God. He is waiting for us to draw closer to him today than yesterday. Take some time to remember where you have fallen from.

What has the Lord Jesus delivered you from?

We have salvation that we don't deserve because of the blood of Jesus. Let's purpose in our hearts today to follow God wholeheartedly, and live out His word.

Your Mind

Colossians 3:1-2  If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set Your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
