Psalm 2

Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you all He wants you to receive into your heart and your life.
Read and Study Psalm 2 on your own. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you a verse that ministers to you. When studying, think about why this verse spoke to you. How you will apply it to your life.  Write down your thoughts.

New Testament application: Find verses in the New Testament that correlate with the verse the Holy Spirit showed you. You can use blueletterbible.org to find your verse and then click on the letter K and that will bring you to verses that correlate with the verse you chose. Write down what Jesus shows you.

Psalm 1

Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you all He wants you to receive into your heart and your life.
Please read Psalm 1 and as you read, pay attention to the verbs in the Psalm. Write down what the Lord speaks to your heart.

Contrast the godly from the ungodly. What are they each like?
Godly:

Ungodly:

Look at verse 6:b:  What happens to the ungodly?

Look at verse 1:  What are you as a believer not to do?

It is so important who you take counsel from. Think on when you have received counsel. Where have you gotten it from? The World or from God? What steps will you take to seek counsel from God if you have never done so before? What steps will you keep taking to ensure that you will stay in the counsel of God?

New Testament application: Read Colossians 3:16, 2 Timothy 3:15, Luke 11:28, Revelation 22:14. When you read the applications think on Psalm 1 and all that God is showing you.

With All Your heart

2 Chronicles 31:20-21 Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, and he did what was good and right and true before the Lord his God. And every work that he began in the service of the house of God, in the law and in the commandment, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart. So he prospered.

Where is your heart today as you serve God? Are you serving Him with all that you are or only part way?

Hezekiah made it a point to seek God as he served Him and did it with all his heart. All we do for God is service to Him whether we are homemakers or have a career. Do all things heartily as unto the Lord. Serve the Lord with gladness. Keep God in your thoughts as you go throughout your day. Praise Him with all your heart!!! As Hezekiah did what was good and right and true he prospered. So will you!!!

You follow Me

In John chapter 21:22, Jesus tells Peter  "If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.

See, Peter had his eyes on the wrong thing. He had his eyes on man and not on Lord Jesus. We are so much like Peter, having our eyes on the wrong thing. Jesus told Peter the truth when He said "what is that to you". When God has given you instruction and you start to say, well, what about so and so and what they are doing for the Lord, remember the words of Jesus."What is that to you". God has specific things for you in your walk with Him and he is working into your life for His good pleasure. Keep your eyes focused on Him and all that He has for you.
