King of Glory

"Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints! Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are Holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, For Your  judgments have been manifested."

This is a song from the book of Revelation Chapter 15. This song describes the character of our King! What wonderful words to remember and have hidden in our hearts. When reading this, we are reminded of God's might, sovereignty, glory, and judgment. He is an all powerful God.
We can worship Him with our daily lives and sing songs that glorify Him in our heart of hearts!
Lets give Him praise with our lives today and forevermore!

Be Thankful for One Another

"But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by The Lord, because God from the beginning chose you to salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth." 2 Thessalonians 3:13

The Lord chose us! He saved us and brought us together as sisters in Christ. Are we truly thankful for one another? We affect each others lives very much. We should walk as Jonathan did with David. Jonathan was faithful to David to the end. When David was in the wilderness, Jonathan came and strengthened David's hand in The Lord! We can be that for each other. Be thankful for each sister that The Lord has allowed into your life and bless them. Let's rejoice in the salvation of our Lord together!

Obedience

We just finished studying Saul's life last night at Women's study.

Saul started out well and then lost everything including his life because of not obeying the Lord. He had a lot of "potential" to be a great king. He followed his own ways and what he thought the Lord wanted, instead of what God had actually said to him. He was given command after command and only did partially what the Lord asked him to do. Partial obedience is not obedience. His life was marked as disobedient. What is your life marked as? obedient or disobedient?

As you walk with the Lord listen closely to what He is telling you in His Word. Follow Him with all of your heart and do what He is asking completely. Have a life marked by obedience!!!

1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

For more study on Saul's life read 1 Samuel.

Surrender

Surrender: To yield; to give up; to resign in favor of another; as,to surrender a right or privilege; to surrender a place or an office.to obey

Jesus at the Garden of Gethsemane
Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Jesus going to the Cross
Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not his mouth.

Jesus on Cross
Philippians 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Not Your Own
1 Corinthians 6:19-20   What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

We do not belong to ourselves,we were bought with the precious blood of Christ, He willing laid down His life for us, will we do the same?

Will we today willing surrender our everything:our very lives,our rights,our,time,our needs,our wants,our husbands,our children,our jobs,our personal comforts; to our loving,merciful,compassionate,forgiving,all knowing Jesus?

Will we allow our will to be broken that all that is seen in our lives would be a surrendered life to Jesus, no matter where He leads,no matter what He allows into our lives?

Jesus loves us, has our very best interest at heart, lives forever to make intercession for us, He allows us the breath of life.

Today will we fall into the arms of love?

The Peace of God

"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world" John 16:33

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything in prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses ALL understanding, will guard your hearts and minds Through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

The Bible tells us that Jesus is our peace. In Isaiah 9:6 refers to Him as the Prince of Peace. Life can be chaotic and stressful. We need the peace of God to walk a victorious Christian life.
Psalm 34:14 says, "Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it." Be encouraged to crucify the flesh daily and seek the peace of God. If there's confusion in your life, pray for The Lord to reveal to you where the confusion is coming from. We all know that the world, our flesh, and Satan will not produce peace in our lives. We need The Lord ladies. Seek Him and rest in the peace that He has promised you! "

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful." Colossians 3:15

Be of Good Courage

Joshua 1:7-9 "Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. "This Book of the Law shall not depart from you mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to what is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

Wow! What an encouragement and exhortation from the Lord! We have the whole counsel of God; everything that we need for life and godliness. We must meditate on the word and have it hidden in our heart. Our lives will prosper and flourish from being with the Lord and walking in His commandments. We will be a reflection of Him, if we don't stray from the word He has given to us. He, throughout scripture, promises us victory. Through our obedience to Him and His word, He promises us good success.

Ask the Lord today to bring to remembrance the things He has taught you. Be of good courage; He's with you wherever you go!

What are we seeking?

But you, o man ( woman) of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. 1 Timothy 6:11.

We, as Christian women, should be fleeing harmful lusts. If we're not careful we'll stray from the faith. The Lord gives us the strength to walk in what He's called us to. He has a different plan for us than the plan that the world is following. People see our lives daily. What are they seeing us pursue? There's so much out there for us to be tempted into following. It's a must that we're walking closely with The Lord. He has set us apart ladies! Let's be different than the world by following Him.

Romans 12:9 says, "Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good."

He is good. His word is good. He is calling us to walk in repentance today!

Joy

But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You. Psalm 5:11

Joy comes from:

Loving God

Psalm 5:11 let those also who love Your name be joyful in You.

Being in His presence
Psalm 16:11 You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy

His faithfulness
Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of Salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness..

His Word
Jeremiah 15:16 Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; for I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.

Being refreshed in the Lord
Act 8:5-6, 8 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. And there was great joy in that city.

Stony Hearts

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them."  Ezekiel 36:26-27

Our heart can be hardened by so many things. The weight of this world, our sinful flesh, and the enemy are coming at us constantly. Many times our heart is hard in areas that we don't even realize. Pray and ask God to show you those areas, then ask Him to soften your heart. He will take our stony hearts and turn them to hearts of flesh! This will enable us to keep His word and walk in His ways. Ladies, we need the strength of The Lord to walk faithfully in this world. He will refresh us and help us to be doers of His word, but we have to cry out to Him and give Him our stony hearts. Remember, He is faithful even when we are not. Give The Lord you heart and allow Him to transform you! Walk in His grace and forgiveness each day pressing on to what lies ahead!

Fragrance

For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.
2 Corinthians 2:15

How we live our lives as Christian women impact all those around us. Each of us has a different group of people we can reach for the Lord. Each person we come in contact with is counting on us as believers to be in right relationship with God. What we put into our lives is what eventually comes out. We can sow to the flesh and reap corruption or sow to the Spirit and reap everlasting life.
When we look at our lives and how we are walking with Jesus daily, does it reflect Jesus to those around us? Are we giving off the fragrance of Jesus to those among us to be saved?

Thoughts of God

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the LORD...
Jeremiah 29:11-14a

When we know the thoughts our God thinks about us, which are peace and not evil, our hearts respond in a totally different way. When we know and understand the love God has for us, we won't approach Him in a way that is full of guilt and condemnation. His thoughts toward us are Peace (freedom from disturbance or agitation). The next three verses shows us what our hearts will do and how God responds to us when we know what God is like.

Our hearts                                                         God

1. We will call on God                           1. God will listen

2.  We will pray to God                         2. God will listen

3. We will seek God and find Him          3. God promises us we will find Him

Jesus loves you so much and desires all of your heart not just part of it. Give yourself away to Him today!!!!

Memories of God's Hand in your life!

Joshua 4:21-24 Then he spoke to the children of Israel, saying: "When your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, 'What are these stones?' then you shall let your children know, saying, 'Israel crossed over this Jordan on dry land'; "for the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until you had crossed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red Sea, which He dried up before us until we had crossed over, "that all the peoples of the earth may know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty, that you may fear the LORD your God forever."

The children of Israel got to see the Lord do many miracles as they walked with Him. His hand was upon them through the parting of the Red Sea, when they were crossing over into the promise land through the Jordan on dry ground. As you look back on your life recently and in the past you can see the hand of God all over your life.

1. Take time today to remember how the Lord has touched your life.

2. Tell people how He has touched your life. Just like the children of Israel were to tell their children what the stones signified.

Be Equipped by God's Word

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man ( woman) of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17

The word of God is our instruction. When a child can't figure out how a new toy works, what do we ask them?..." Did you read the instructions?" Only to find the instructions tossed to the side while they try to figure it out themselves! This situation ends in frustration. How do we approach the circumstances and struggles of our lives? We can't toss our instruction manual (Bible) to the side, do things our own way, and expect our lives to prosper. We need to take in the word daily, and walk in the instructions of our Lord. Be encouraged and equipped by the word of God today!

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. I have sworn and confirmed that I will keep Your righteous judgments. I am afflicted very much; Revive me, O Lord, according to Word. Psalm 119:105-107

The out pouring of the Holy Spirit Promised

All over in scripture God promises us the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Surely I will pour out my Spirit on you; I will make My words known to you. Proverbs 1:23

And I will not hide My face from them anymore; for I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel, says the Lord God. Ezekiel 39:29

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
Matthew 3:11

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!
Luke 11:13

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever. John 14:6

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8

The Christian life is difficult to live with out the empowering of the Holy Spirit. Is life bland for you? Is your attitude about the things of God mediocre? Is everything a struggle and seems like you can't do it on your own? Well, we can do nothing apart from Jesus and His Spirit. You need the out pouring of the Holy Spirit in your life.

Do you desire the out pouring of the Holy Spirit in your life? Ask and it shall be given you, seek and you shall find, knock and it will be opened to you.
Luke 11:9

Be Watered

But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. Psalm 1:2-3

The Word of God is so important in our lives as women. We need to be encouraged in the word daily to walk in the things Jesus is asking us to walk through. There are so many things that press into our lives that can distract us and take us away from what Jesus has for us.
When we are in His word daily we are promised to be like a tree that is planted by the rivers of water. Those trees planted by the rivers are healthy, strong trees that are watered constantly. They take in all the nutrients they need well because they are watered all the time. The Word of God is our nutrients we need daily to be able to grow and be strengthened. We will produce much fruit in our lives as we are washed in the water of the Word!! We will also not wither when the trials come into our lives because we are grounded in His truth!!! We will also prosper in the things the Lord is calling us to walk through because we are seeking Him to find what he desires in our lives.

Be encouraged as you meditate on His Word day and night!!!
